Cultural historian John Morieson presents "Stars Over Tyrell", a most fascinating look at the night sky from a very different perspective.
Orion, Scorpius and Sagittarius are familiar constellations to us all, but how about Bunya, Mindi and Wanjel? These are constellations of ancient Australia, representing animals, birds, the seasons and stories that were important to every day life.
John will take us on a journey to a time before light pollution, TV and telescopes, where detailed knowledge of the night sky was handed down through generations for thousands of years.
All are welcome to this most fascinating evening. Cost: $2.00 donation, $5.00 family
