Superannuation scheme needs changing
In the City of Greater Bendigo biodiversity, water and land are all threatened by various different invasive plants and animals. They present threats to primary production, native flora and fauna, and the recreation and amenity of City owned and managed assets.
The Strategy has been developed to provide a strategic approach to invasive species management on City owned and managed land and to ensure that strategic directions and management actions are consistent with current regional, state and federal invasive species policies and strategies. It aims to improve invasive plants and animals management outcomes by implementing improvements to management processes and systems and to provide support for community action.
This strategy focuses on two aspects of invasive plant and animal management. The first is the management of invasive species on land owned and managed by the City, with the second aspect being the role of community leadership that the City has in the management of invasive plants and animals.
