Elaine Shemilt is a Professor of Fine Art Printmaking at the University of Dundee in Scotland. Her research and practice is diverse in terms of subject, media and content. She has exhibited internationally including Switzerland, Denmark, Holland, Canada, USA and Australia. Recently Elaine has been involved in environmental protection in remote environments, genetic coding relating to image pattern and sound sequencing. Outcomes have been produced using etching and screenprinting, video, 3-D imaging and digital animation, and exhibited as prints and large scale hi-definition projection. These mediums will be represented at her exhibition at the VAC.
