Project Update

The $25.8 million community theatre project is at a very exciting stage with all planning and heritage authority approvals now in place and the announcement of the preferred contractor due in April. Once this occurs construction is expected to commence shortly afterwards with completion due before the end of 2014.

The project is being funded by:

• $12.3M from the Australian Government’s Regional Development Australia Fund;
• $7.5 from the State Government’s Department of Education and Early Childhood Development;
• $3M from City of Greater Bendigo; and
• $3M from the State Government’s Regional Development Victoria – Regional Growth Fund.
