This Friday night The Getaway Plan returns to Bendigo after their amazing set at this year’s Groovin the Moo. Along with the Melbourne and Sydney based groups The Redcoats and Glass Towers, local Bendigo band Oh Pacific will support The Getaway Plan this Friday June 1 at the Park Road Hall.
The gig is proudly presented by Mic Up Productions - the City of Greater Bendigo’s FReeZA group.
Mic Up Productions member Perrin Lyle said “we set ourselves a goal this year to bring an artist from the Groovin the Moo line up back to Bendigo for a follow up show and, after seeing The Getaway Plan play, we are rapt with our decision to book them.
“Mic Up Productions love supporting local artists so it was important for us to give Oh Pacific the opportunity to perform on the night as well get The Redcoats back to Bendigo,” he said.
“Oh Pacific have a strong local following and have been doing some good shows. This is a great opportunity for the four band members to get some really good experience and exposure.
“We’ve also had The Redcoats on our radar for a little while as their guitarist Neil Wilkinson is a Bendigo boy, so its great that we’ve been able to get him back to perform locally,”Perrin Lyle said.
The gig kicks off at 7pm and is an all ages FReeZA event which will be fully supervised and drug, alcohol, and smoke free. Park Rd Hall is located in the Tom Flood Sports present
Tickets are $20 and are available from the Music Man Mega Store, the City of Greater Bendigo office in Lyttleton Terrace and at the door on the night if not sold out beforehand.
FReeZA is a State Government initiative and this event has been made possible by the State Governments Youth Bushfire Response Gift.
