Superannuation scheme needs changing
The City of Greater Bendigo has welcomed local jet charter company My Jet as a major new tenant at the Bendigo Airport.
City of Greater Bendigo Mayor Cr Alec Sandner said My Jet have established in Bendigo to provide central Victoria with a local premium quality air travel alternative to other Melbourne based commercial airlines.
“My Jet are investing $1 million to construct their new hangar and other infrastructure which is a tremendous show of faith in the Bendigo Airport and the region.
“The company has signed a commercial lease under the Bendigo Airport’s new leasing regime and we welcome My Jet to Bendigo,” said Cr Sandner.
Chris Richards from My Jet said he intends to employ up to six people initially but has plans to expand the business in the future.
“We operate a Citation Jet that has the capacity to carry up to eight passengers at any one time. The jet can be chartered to any destination within Australia including nearby islands.
“It can also fly to capital cities and has the capability to land on short or remote airstrips such as Toowoomba, Ararat, Stawell, Young, King Island and Kangaroo Island.
“We have been servicing local business for the last 12 months, which has consolidated our belief that the growing Greater Bendigo region holds enormous potential for My Jet and we are excited to be the latest business to establish at the Bendigo Airport,” said Mr Richards.
