Notice of proposed construction works - Forest and Rowan Streets

The City of Greater Bendigo would like to advise that it is carrying out drainage works in View, Rowan and Forest Streets.  The project involves the construction of new underground stormwater pipes and pits to cater for large storm events and to prevent flooding in the area.

Works will start early June and will involve closing the roundabout to traffic turning into Forest Street travelling inbound on View and to the traffic exiting the QEO (left turn only out of QEO). Traffic diversions will be put in place during this period to allow for this first stage to be completed.

The work around the roundabout area will take approximately two to three weeks to complete with the remainder of the job (affecting Forest Street) taking another seven to eight weeks.

Proposal to lease part Lot 2 Wallenjoe Road, Huntly

Greater Bendigo City Council proposes to assign the lease for Part Lot 2 Wallenjoe Road, Huntly for the purpose of a solar park.

Any person wanting to make a submission regarding this proposal under Section 223 of the Local Government Act 1989 must do so within twenty-eight (28) days of publication of this notice.  Submissions should be addressed to the Chief Executive Officer, City of Greater Bendigo, PO Box 733, Bendigo 3552 and be received by Saturday June 15, 2013.

Any person indicating that they want to be heard in support of their submission will be notified of the time and date of the hearing.
