Superannuation scheme needs changing
The City of Greater Bendigo’s proposed Budget for 2012/2013 delivers major projects now and for the future, while providing value for money services and high quality facilities.
Our region is experiencing a period of significant growth and this puts pressure on infrastructure and the services the City provides. The challenge for Council is to get the balance right so we can build for the future without placing too great a financial burden on existing ratepayers.
The proposed budget is about striking the right balance; it is about delivering infrastructure and services for our community in a financially responsible manner.
If you would like further details on the proposed budget, please contact Marg Allan, Director Organisation Support or Kathy Constable Manager Systems and Management Accounting on 5434 6129.
Copies of the proposed budget are also available from City offices in Bendigo and Heathcote.
Written submissions on any proposal contained in the budget must be received by the City of Greater Bendigo on or before Friday 29 June 2012. Submissions are to be addressed to:
Chief Executive Officer City of Greater Bendigo PO Box 733 Bendigo 3552
Any person who has made a written submission and requested to be heard, can appear in person or by a person acting on their behalf, before a Committee of the whole Council on Wednesday 4 July 2012 in the Reception Room at the Town Hall, Lyttleton Terrace Bendigo, at a time to be arranged.
