| The City of Greater Bendigo is calling for expressions of interest for three community representatives for the Bendigo Easter Festival Committee.
City of Greater Bendigo Director of Community Well Being Barry Secombe said the Benidgo Easter Festival originated in 1869 and was the oldest community festival in Australia.
“We are looking for innovative people who have skills in festival management, business, finance, marketing and strategic visioning who share a passion for Bendigo and the Easter Festival.
“The Bendigo Easter Festival Committee is a Special Committee of Council that
advises the Greater Bendigo Council on policy and direction to advance the annual Easter Festival.
“The committee provides strategic advice to Council on aspects of the Easter Festival in conjunction with the elected Bendigo Easter Festival Inc. committee and Council staff,” said Mr. Secombe.
He said interested people could obtain further information and an expression of interest form by contacting the City’s Cultural Development & Events on 5434 6464 during business hours.
Completed Expressions of Interest forms must be received by 5:00pm Wednesday October 26 2005.
