Once Year 10 students have received this Boostrix vaccination, a Tetanus booster is not required until the age of 50 to maintain immunity.  In the event of a tetanus prone injury, consult your doctor for further information.

All school students immunised at a school session will receive a 'record of school immunisation' form which should be brought home by the students and stored with all previous immunisation records.

Consent cards and information are distributed to all schools at the beginning of each school year.

Any students who are absent from school on the day of vaccinations can attend any of our public immunisations sessions.

School entry immunisation certificate

How do I obtain a school entry immunisation status certificate?

  • School entry immunisation status certificates can only be obtained from:
  • You will automatically receive a history statement from the ACIR after your child has completed the 4-year-old vaccine. This history statement is used as the school entry immunisation status certificate.
  • If your child has completed all immunisations but you have not received a history statement call ACIR on 1800 653 809 to find out why.
  • If for some reason your child's immunisation records are incomplete or missing contact ACIR, your GP or local council immunisation service.
  • If your child has never been vaccinated or was vaccinated overseas, then contact your GP or local council immunisation service who will be able to assist you in obtaining a school entry immunisation status certificate.

Who do I give the school entry immunisation status certificate to?

  • Once you have obtained your school entry immunisation status certificate you will need to present it to your child’s primary school on enrolment.
  • If you have lost the school entry immunisation status certificate issued by the ACIR ring 1800 653 809 to obtain another copy.
