The National Trust of Australia (Vic), Bendigo & District Branch, in partnership with the City of Greater Bendigo, are proud to present the Greater Bendigo Heritage Awards 2012 to recognise those in our community who have demonstrated excellence in retention, restoration, enhancement and reuse of our heritage places.
Our heritage includes public and private places, buildings, gardens and objects. Heritage places are an integral part of the Greater Bendigo community and the Greater Bendigo Heritage Awards highlight our commitment to celebrate and promote our heritage. The aims of the awards are to recognise excellence in heritage conservation and to encourage community awareness of our heritage.

Creative Reuse of a Heritage Place
New Work in a Heritage Area
Alison Bacon – for the successful reconstruction of the Canterbury Quilts shop, 18 Sailors Gully Road, Eaglehawk.

Dzintra Martin and Peter Hunt – for the sensitive and innovative addition to 15 Barkly Street, Bendigo.
Restoration of a Heritage Place
John & Christine Launder and Mark & Janine Coffey for the restoration of Kent House and Central House at 121 and 123 Wattle Street, Bendigo.
Specialist Heritage Trade Skills
Period Building Conservation - for the high standard of specialist trade skills used on the Bendigo Mining Exchange and Capital Theatre buildings in Bendigo.
