Section 86 Committees of Council

Section 86 Committees are established by Council under Section 86 of the Local Government Act 1989 to directly manage property and facilities on behalf of the City of Greater Bendigo.  Section 86 Committees (S86) has delegated responsibilities and duties in managing.  These Committees include recreation reserves, sporting stadiums, public halls, open space and native reserves.  For further information on Section 86 Committees, please click here

Acquisition and Sale of Land

The City of Greater Bendigo continually reviews the need to acquire land or sell land for strategic purposes in order to provide community facilities and services, to prepare for the future growth of the City, to meet requirements for open space and much more.  To enquire about or propose a sale or acquisition, please click here

Lease/Licence of Land

The City of Greater Bendigo owns and manages a diverse portfolio of properties within the municipality. These properties range from land being used for community halls, sporting reserve, car parks and commercial enterprise.  The properties may be managed with a lease, licence, committee of management or other occupancy arrangements depending on the site, land status and use.  If you would like to make an application to lease or licence a property please click here for further information.

Vacant Land

Fencing Details

The City of Greater Bendigo will contribute towards half the cost of the construction, replacement or repair of a dividing fence that abuts a Council owned property in accordance with the Fences Act 1968.  To apply for half cost fencing if your fence adjoins Council property, or to find out your neighbours name and contact information for privately owned property, please click here.
