How can you help?
You can prepare a personal plan to
reduce waste at home and work and keep our waterways clean. You could
also get involved in the Bendigo Urban Stormwater Program through
the school, industry, business or resident programs.
Personal Plan Checklist
List the types of waste generated outside
the business, home or school
eg. Leaves, oils, paint, litter, sediment, cigarette butts, garden
clippings, detergents, paper products,
- Look at how each type of waste is removed
- Is recycling part of your program
- Can your disposal process be altered?
- Identify stormwater drains nearby
- Does any waste/pollution enter street drainage system?
- Can you remove this waste before it 'disappears'
- If you can't do it alone, contact Council to see how you can
work together.
