Draft Greater Bendigo Community Plan 2017-2021
Greater Bendigo - creating the world's most liveable community is the proposed new vision to guide the work of the Greater Bendigo City Council over the next four years.
How Council will achieve this is outlined in the draft Greater Bendigo Community Plan 2017-2021 which is now available for community comment. Copies can be obtained by contacting the Strategy Unit on 5434 6148.
The Greater Bendigo City Council has produced a summary document outlining how it received feedback to the 2017-2021 Community Plan (formally known as the Council Plan).
Council was dedicated to reaching both urban and rural residents using a variety of methods, including attending community events, markets, public gatherings, community information sessions and online engagement through social media, which proved to be particularly effective.
Council greatly values the community’s input and looks forward to receiving feedback on the draft Community Plan. It is important residents take the time to ensure they have been heard correctly and support Council’s proposed direction.

Formal submissions must be received no later than 5pm on Friday May 19, 2017.
Anyone who makes a written submission and requests to be heard may present in person or nominate someone to speak to their submission on their behalf. Submissions will be heard on Wednesday May 24, 2017 at Council's office in Lyttleton Terrace, Bendigo, commencing at 5:30pm.
The hearing of submissions is open to the public. Comments on the plan can be made below.
Council Plan 2013-2017 (2016-2017) Update
The Plan contains Council’s vision and values and direction for 2013-2017 and proposed actions for 2016-2017. These underpin the way the City manages and conducts its operations. Council adopted the Council Plan 2013-2017 (2016-2017 update) on June 29, 2016.
