Complaints Against a Councillor Policy

We recognise that members of the public have the right to complain about the behaviour of its elected representatives. Our Councillor complaints handling system reflects the needs, expectations and rights of members of the community.

This policy applies to all complaints received by the Council about the behaviour of a Councillor and the complaints handling procedure outlines how complaints will be handled.

The policy was approved October 2015.
