Jobs Victoria Advocates
What are Jobs Victoria Advocates?
The Jobs Victoria Advocates Program is one of the Victorian Government initiatives to respond to the impact of coronavirus. As a result of the pandemic, underemployment and unemployment have increased and many Victorians are looking to new pathways to employment, upskilling or changing
Our Jobs Victoria Advocates will support jobseekers in the local communities and assist Victorians who need help finding work or who are struggling with the impact of unemployment, to find the information, advice and additional support they need. Advocates understand that people sometimes need the support of other services to address their non-vocational barriers (e.g. mental health, housing and homelessness, culturally-specific services) and will be able to guide people on where they can go to seek this additional help – playing an important system navigation role within the community.
Who is eligible?
Our Advocates will support anyone in the community looking for a pathway to employment and education or supported services.
