City calls for feedback on Epsom Skate Park concept designs
The City of Greater Bendigo is inviting residents to provide their feedback on concept design plans for the proposed Epsom Village Skate Park and Play Space.
Listening posts will be held at the Epsom Village Green between 4pm and 6pm on Wednesday November 14 and at the Epsom Village Shopping Centre from 11am to 1pm on Saturday November 17 for residents to view and have their say on the plans.
The plans can also be viewed online at www.bendigo.vic.gov.au with submissions to be received by the City of Greater Bendigo no later than Friday November 23, 2018.
City of Greater Bendigo Active and Healthy Manager Lincoln Fitzgerald said the concept design plans have been developed following extensive consultation with students from Epsom Primary School and Weeroona College.
“The students have played an important role in the project by helping to select the elements that they wanted to be included in the design of the skate park and play space and the City has really appreciated their involvement,” Mr Fitzgerald said.
“The concept designs include wheeled play for scooters, skateboards, BMX and in line skates as well as a proposed upgrade for the existing play space to include new nature play elements, a mound slide and a basket swing. The new facilities will be integrated into the existing Village Green with sloping play lawns.
”This is an important project for Epsom that many in the community have requested and I encourage residents to view the concept design plans and have their say on them.”
