City of Greater Bendigo’s Community Partnerships Manager Andie West said the event has been organised and coordinated by the City’s Intercultural Ambassadors themselves.
“The Intercultural Ambassadors are very keen to share the joy of their cultural games with the local community and this event is an opportunity for local residents to experience something new and fun,” Ms West said.
Ambassador Bruno Spandonide said everyone is invited to come along on the day.
“We’re looking forward to sharing the games of our cultures with other members of the community and we are looking forward to a great day,” Mr Spandonide said.
The City’s Intercultural Ambassadors Program was launched in September 2019 to increase connections, broaden understanding and support the participation of diverse cultural groups in community life. It’s an important part of the City’s commitment to cultural diversity and inclusion and to being a liveable and welcoming City.
