Ulumbarra Theatre will open its doors to the community inviting everyone to come in, explore and enjoy all it has to offer and a little extra.

The chance to buy a ticket to join a unique backstage tour is just one of the opportunities for visitors to Ulumbarra next Sunday, October 25 from 10am to 4pm.

Tens of thousands have visited Ulumbarra Theatre since it opened on April 17 but many more are still waiting for the chance to see it for the first time, to explore more, to show it off to family or friends or simply soak up the atmosphere.

David Lloyd, Manager of Capital Venues and Events has received many requests for the chance to just come in and soak up the atmosphere of the venue.

“At this stage visitors either need to be attending an event or performance, or booked into one of the tours offered through the Visitor Information Centre in order to see the venue, so we wanted to make sure the community had another chance to celebrate this great venue” he said.

“It will be more low-key than previous open days with the chance for people to wander around and take time to enjoy the many spaces throughout the complex.”

Bendigo Blues & Roots Music Festival organiser, Colin Thompson has put together a line-up of artists throughout the afternoon that will be performing in the alfresco dining area and there are historic tours as well as the backstage tours.  Tours can be booked at gotix.com.au or by calling Box Office on 5434 6100

“We encourage everyone to come along and soak up the atmosphere of Ulumbarra Theatre.”
