The talent of local young artists has been recognised and is being celebrated through the City of Greater Bendigo’s 2017 Raw Arts Awards and Exhibition on display at Dudley House until Sunday May 21.

The Greater Bendigo Raw Arts Awards are an important initiative designed to showcase and foster the talents and artistic pursuits of young people in the region and this year’s awards attracted 89 entries from local young people aged from 9 to 25 years of age.

The awards and exhibition provide an opportunity for young people to profile their work, receive public and financial recognition and support further studies in their chosen arts field.

Through the awards the City of Greater Bendigo provides four $1000 cash scholarships and four $250 highly commended prizes across four arts disciplines – visual arts, literature, digital media and performing arts.
