Round 1 of 2015/2016 Community Grants Program to open August 3
Applications for Round 1 of the City of Greater Bendigo’s Community Grants Program for 2015/2016 will open on Monday August 3, 2015.
Grants of up to $5,000 can be applied for under the following categories:
- Community Development
- Environment and Sustainability
- Community Arts
- Community Events
- Active Communities
- Healthy Communities
- Print and Digital Publications
- Driver Education for Youth (DEFY)
Applications are sought for projects that:
- Promote community engagement and participation
- Support social inclusion
- Contribute to building healthy and strong communities
Community Wellbeing Director, Pauline Gordon, said the City was pleased to introduce the new DEFY category to the grants program.
“The Driver Education for Youth grants aim to support the coordination and delivery of local youth driver education and training initiatives to help reduce road trauma for young people and their families,” Ms Gordon said.
“The City looks forward to receiving strong applications from non-profit groups or organisations for all categories and supporting projects that produce good outcomes for the community.”
Applications close Monday August 31, 2015 at 5pm.
