You have a general right to access information we hold, under the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act. The Act also provides a right of appeal if we refuse access to this information.

Some information is freely available and can be obtained without making a FOI request. We encourage you to make contact with the FOI Officer by phoning 03 5434 6000 before making a formal application.

How to make a request for information

To make a request for a document under the Freedom of Information Act complete and lodge your request with the application fee of $28.40.

Your request should include enough detail about the documents you seek to assist us to identify them.

The FOI Officer has 45 days from the date that a valid application is received to respond to the applicant.

Please note: your application fee is not refundable and some information is exempt from release under the Freedom of Information Act 1982. If access is granted further charges may apply as allowed for in the Freedom of Information Access (Charges Regulations) 2014.
