A fantastic opportunity exists within the Financial Strategy unit for a Systems Accountant to identify, design and implement process and reporting improvements for the City. You will drive improvements in the management and maintenance of financial and reporting systems and provide specialist support, advice and training relating to the various finance systems, with a focus on TechnologyOne.
The role supports Coordinators and the Financial Strategy unit to drive improvements in process, data and connectivity for income and receipts (supporting rates and receivables); expenses and payments (across platforms); and reconciliations and relevant budget/community engagement projects.
To be successful in this role you will have demonstrated skills in enterprise finance systems; business analysis; creation of forms; systems development and change management. You will also have demonstrated experience in continuous improvement and business automation of financial and business systems, processes, procedures and reporting. This includes improving the end user experience.
A Degree or Diploma qualification in Accounting related discipline with several years subsequent experience is essential and Chartered Accountant (CA) or CPA Australia member (CPA) preferred. Exposure and experience with TechnologyOne is highly desirable.
A satisfactory Police Record Check is required for this position.
