Subsidies for artists and performers
We offer two subsidies to local artists, musicians and performing artists – the Dudley House Community Arts Hire Subsidy Grant and the Performance Subsidy.
Dudley House Community Arts Hire Subsidy Grant
Dudley House is a centre for local arts exhibitions, displays and events in the View Street Arts Precinct.
The Dudley House Community Hire Subsidy provides opportunities for local artists to show their work to a broad audience. It gives them the use of the space for 13 days to present a project or exhibition. Each year six group or individual proposals are chosen.
Exhibitions, displays and events will be related to all aspects of the arts for the benefit of the local community.
Performance Subsidy Program
The Performance Subsidy Program aims to support emerging artists and groups in the development of innovative performing arts projects including (but not limited to) music, dance and drama. It offers use of the Bendigo Bank Theatre and Engine Room, some technical, marketing and front-of-house support.
Each year six group or individual proposals are chosen.
How to apply
The two subsidy programs are run concurrently. Each year there are two rounds of grant applications.
Applications for Round 1, 2020 will open Thursday September 5, 2019 and close on Monday October 14, 2019.
