We can help you organise an event, shoot footage, access an art space or grant for artists and performers. There are many ways that you can participate in one of the many events or creative experiences across Bendigo.

Arts and culture

Our Arts Team oversees arts and cultural development, community arts, creative spaces and temporary public art. This includes access and professional development opportunities in the form of subsidies for artists and performers and the annual Raw Arts Awards for young artists. We also support the establishment and running of community art spaces.

Buskers bring interest to our streets. To perform in a public place you will need a busking permit.

Our community and major events teams can assist you with the correct permits you need and help organisers to create safe, successful events in Bendigo.

We can help organisers of events to understand what they need to do depending on the type of event planned, find an event venue, manage risk assessments and public liability and apply for a permit.

Bendigo is a great place to host an international or national event – talk to us about your major event plans.

If you are keen to use Bendigo as a location for your shoot, ask us about filming permits.
