Ulumbarra Theatre
Bendigo’s Ulumbarra Theatre rises from within the walls of the City’s 1860’s Sandhurst Gaol. Meaning ‘gather together’ or ‘meeting place’ in the language of the local indigenous people, Ulumbarra blends heritage and modern elements beautifully offering distinctive state-of-the-art performance and event spaces.
With an auditorium capacity of 950 there are first class backstage facilities, ticketing and technical staff break out options are available and include expansive foyers, adjoining studios and modern meeting rooms. Catering is also available.

The Capital
Located in historic View Street, The Capital was originally built as the Sandhurst Masonic Hall in 1873 and boast one of the finest entries of any arts centre in the nationa with towering Corinthian columns and an interior that has been restored to its original grandeur.
The 480 seat capacity of Capital Theatre sits above two elegant heritage chambers – The Capital’s Banquet Room and Bendigo Bank Theatre. The Capital offers a full range of services including ticketing, technical and catering support.

The Engine Room
This historic, quirky venue seats 90 people in a retractable seating bank or can be used as a blank canvas to create whatever your performance or event requires. Located in View Street adjacent to the main building of The Capital, the historic old fire station has two flexible spaces. On the ground floor, a black box performance space with full sound and lighting facilities, and upstairs an attractive studio with timber floor and mirrors.

Bendigo Town Hall
This classic building in the heart of Bendigo is one of the city’s greatest architectural achievements from the late 19th century. Bendigo Town Hall has returned to the elegance and beauty of its 19th century heritage after an extensive restoration and renovation program including plaster works, murals and gold leaf worked by skilled artists and artisans.

Dudley House
Dudley House overlooks the Queen Elizabeth Oval and is perched at the highest point of the View Street Arts Precinct. One of the first Government offices erected in Bendigo’s Camp Hill area following the discovery of gold in 1851, it was constructed in 1858-1859 by building contractors Gretch and Cooper for the public works department and served as the residence and office for Bendigo’s first surveyor, Richard Larritt.
The building is one of the earliest and most intact 1850s buildings remaining in the central administrative and commercial precinct of Bendigo, now operating as a gallery, function and event space.
