***SUMMER SALE START TIMES***                                from 6th December, 2021

During the summer months of December, January and February the Bendigo Livestock Exchange will shift sale times one-hour earlier than normal. This was a condition in our Heat Policy that was adopted in 2021, following discussion and acceptance by our Stakeholders Group.

This change has been made to improve conditions for both livestock and human welfare on the site, by allowing for sales to be conducted earlier in cooler part of the day.

For sales under 18,000 total head or sales with under 7,500 sheep - Lamb Sale will begin at 8.30am.

Sales with more than 18,000 total head and more than 7,500 sheep will have large runs of Sheep sell from 8.30am, with Lamb Sale starting between 9.00am to 9.15am on these days and smaller sheep runs concluded after Lamb Sale.

**CATTLE SALE CLOSURE**

The Bendigo Agents Association have cancelled the fortnightly (previously weekly) Prime Cattle Sale. This decision was not made lightly and was in response to a complete loss of Processor Buyers willing to attend following multiple sales with very low numbers of Cattle suitable for processing.

Bendigo Livestock Exchange will continue to work with the Bendigo Agents Association and other stakeholders to find uses for the Cattle facility, to the benefit of the community. Whilst this brings to an end an over 150 year old operation (at least for now), we look forward to focusing on opportunities to increase the utilisation of the facility in future, in whatever format that looks like. Bendigo Livestock Exchange wish to thank everyone involved in the sale.
