Water sensitive planning and construction
If you are planning a subdivision or new construction in the Bendigo area you need to meet water quality requirements to help ensure the health of our waterways.
Our Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) resource kit assists you to meet water quality requirements and incorporate water sensitive principles into building and landscaping design when subdividing land and during building and construction. The kit includes design options, construction, management planning and temporary and permanent stormwater pollution solutions.

Clause 56.08 – Site Management Plans – including objectives for drainage infrastructure, managing erosion, run-off chemical contamination etc.
Clause 53.18 - Stormwater Management - includes requirements for stormwater in urban developments, including retention and reuse, mitigation of impacts of stormwater and provide cooling, local habitat and amenity benefits
For more information about these clauses go to the Greater Bendigo Planning Scheme.
