Immunisations for School Students 10-19 years old
We provide secondary school immunisations.
Year 7 students are eligible to receive vaccinations against:
- Boostrix/Adacel - Diphtheria, Whooping Cough and Tetanus
- Gardasil Vaccine (2 dose course) - Human Papillomavirus
Year 10 students are eligible to receive vaccination against:
- Nimenrix - Meningococcal A C W and Y
It is important to maintain routine immunisation during COVID restrictions, as such immunisation is classed as an essential reason to leave your house.
As we are unsure of the impact the roadmap out of COVID will have on the days we have already booked to attend the schools for Year 7 second visit, we are endeavouring to put on extra school vaccine only clinics, to ensure the year 7 and year 10 students do not fall behind with their immunisations this year.
Our first clinic will be;
Tuesday 28 September – 1pm – 3.30pm - Strathdale Community Centre, 155 Crook Street, Strathdale, 3550.
If you have a child who has missed or are due to have more immunisations this year, please bring them along. This will mainly be Year 7 and Year 10 students, but we are happy to do catch up immunisation to anyone under 20 years of age.
No appointment necessary, we will either find the original consent card or we will get you to register at the clinic.
Please ensure that there is only 1 parent and 1 child and that masks must be worn at all times.
(The exception to this are Crusoe and Girton students who received their Year 7 immunisations at the beginning of this year in school as they will be due later in the year.)
PLEASE NOTE: You will need to allow 7 days between your COVID vaccine and any other vaccine.
