Your first visit

When a baby is born, hospitals are required to notify councils that a local family has a new baby. The Early Years Team then contact you to arrange an appointment with a Maternal and Child Health Nurse.

It is recommended that you visit our centre when your child is 2, 4 and 8 weeks, 4, 8, 12 and 18 months, 2 and 3.5 years old.

Make an appointment to visit a centre

To make an appointment, contact our Early Years Team on 03 4408 6590.

Interpreting services are available for all consultations. Please contact our Early Years Team in advance of your appointment and they will organise an interpreter to be present.

Home visits

You can request a free home visit.

Our expert staff can help you adjust to your new role as a parent, manage challenging infant and child behaviour, or with referrals to other specialist service providers.

You will need a referral from your local maternal and child health nurse, doctor, paediatrician, hospital staff, kindergarten teacher or other support agency.
