We are working together to be Australia’s most liveable regional city. To achieve this goal we must protect our unique natural environment .

We support community groups with their projects that help to protect and restore the natural environment with our community grants program .

To help you to reduce waste and reuse items we have created the Sustainable Living Guide . If you are keen to get involved we share information about events, education and volunteer groups .

We manage urban stormwater, issue permits for septic tanks and encourage water conservation in planning and construction projects as part of our sustainable water management program .

We preserve our local natural environment by educating landowners, embracing offset programs, eradicating weeds and more as part of our native vegetation, forestry and land management .

We practice what we preach and have been rolling out an organisation wide program to reduce our carbon emissions

We are a member of  Eco Buy ,   which means we purchase products that have less impact on the environment, and integrate sustainable purchase practices into everyday operations.
