Healthy Together Victoria
Greater Bendigo is involved in a Victorian Government initiative which aims to improve people’s health where they live, learn, work and play by addressing the causes of health problems. The initiative is called Healthy Together Victoria and it is putting the emphasis of healthy living back into local hands.
On a local level, Healthy Together Bendigo is a partnership between the City of Greater Bendigo and Bendigo Community Health Services. Using partnerships and a skilled health promotion workforce, Healthy Together Bendigo encourages healthy eating and physical activity and a reduction in smoking and harmful alcohol use.
Greater Bendigo, like Australia, needs to become healthier. The evidence from population health surveys, including Greater Bendigo’s recent Active Living Census, suggests that as a community we need to improve our eating habits, move more and reduce our alcohol and tobacco use. Greater Bendigo, its time to get healthy together!

The Innovation in Cycling Showcase will be the first of its kind in Australia providing an opportunity for innovators to show their work and for practitioners, people who ride, people who want to ride, investors, government, community organisations and anyone interested in cycling in any way to connect and network in Bendigo, Australia’s Regional Cycling Capital.
