Healthy Sports Rewards

Healthy Sports Rewards aims to offer an alternative to the unhealthy food and drink vouchers often presented to junior sporting club participants. The vouchers are a great way to recognise junior players and offer free entry to pools and leisure facilities.

The City of Greater Bendigo is committed to supporting sporting clubs to be places that are active, healthy and socially connected. Sports clubs, particularly junior clubs, should be free from unhealthy food and drinks sponsorship.

Expressions of interest

Junior sports clubs can get involved by completing an expression of interest form. Expressions of interest are open for winter season junior clubs from:

  • Tuesday April 19 to Tuesday May 3, 2022

The City of Greater Bendigo will evaluate the Healthy Sports Rewards Program. A focus of this evaluation will be on the uptake and useability of the vouchers by clubs, players and parents/carers. This research will increase understanding of the value of the rewards and support us to introduce Healthy Sports Rewards to clubs in our local communities.

If you receive Healthy Sports Rewards, would you be willing to be part of this evaluation?*
