All Ages All Abilities project

Family fishing

The City of Greater Bendigo has a vision to create the world’s most liveable community. One of the ways we do this is through protecting, improving and promoting health and wellbeing within our community.

We asked the community to share with us what health and wellbeing means to them, their families and their community. Their feedback helped to develop the All Ages All Abilities Issues and Opportunities Report.

The Issues and Opportunities Report helps the Council to understand what matters most to the community when it comes to health and wellbeing and provides a framework to respond to a range of priority issues that impact children, young people, people with a disability and older adults.

The Issues and Opportunities Report was open for public comment from July 18 until August 16, 2019.

The All Ages All Abilities Action Plan was adopted by Council on October 16, 2019.

The Action Plan will replace the Municipal Early Years Plan, Positive Ageing Strategy, Community Access and Inclusion Plan and combines the existing Youth Strategy and help guide the City’s actions in improving the physical and social environment for all community members, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to fully and actively participate in activities and events across Greater Bendigo.
