The flooding of Lake Eyre in 2011, left me with the memory of a desert landscape inundated by a huge inflow of water brought by rivers flowing inland toward the centre of our great continent.

A metaphor of cyclic development that is inherent in these processes can also be seen as a parallel to many of the challenges experienced by artists as they interpret their world.
