Friends of Bendigo Botanic Gardens
The Friends of Bendigo Botanic Gardens are working with the City of Greater Bendigo to 'Promote, Protect and Restore the historic public gardens of Bendigo'.
The Friends have several subgroups to cater for members with a range of interests. They also offer garden tours and guided walks as well as excursions to other sites.
The Growing Friends
The Growing Friends propagate plants for the garden and for public plant sales and assist with some gardening tasks. They meet at the Samuel Gadd Centre at 9.30am - 11am every Tuesday.
The Botanical Illustrators
The Botanical Illustrators conduct regular sessions, workshops and exhibitions aimed at those with an interest in botanical art. They meet at the Samuel Gadd Centre on Saturdays 9.30am - 4pm, and on Wednesdays 9am - midday.
Dovyalis Magazine
Dovyalis is a biannual publication produced by the Friends.
Committee Meetings
General Meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month (except January) at 9.30am - 10.30am at the Samuel Gadd Centre within the Gardens. The Friends also have a special 'dinner' meeting each year with a guest speaker.
