Keys and access equipment for City properties

Who can get access equipment

Access equipment for City buildings and reserves are given to members of the public, contractors and staff who:

  • Have hired a city or community venue that is under our key system
  • Require keys to the venue they manage on the City's behalf
  • Have been contracted to conduct works at a city site
  • Require keys to perform their duties

Please note: 

  • Photo ID will need to be shown when picking up the equipment

Where a City or community venue has been hired through the managing committee:

  • Arrangements to collect and return access equipment and general access instructions will be provided direct to the hirer by the managing committee contact.
  • Request of access equipment and their return to the City outlined on this web page are not required.

Terms and conditions

To request access equipment, complete the request for access equipment or keys form.

We require a minimum of four (4) working days notice.

What happens after the request:

  • You will be advised when and where the access equipment can be collected
  • No deposit or charges will be applied

Responsibilities of the access equipment holder:

  • Access equipment issued will only be used by those authorised the City of Greater Bendigo
  • Access equipment are to be kept in a secure location when not in use
  • Facilities are to be secured at all times when unattended. Including the use of security systems, if one is installed at the venue
  • Lost or stolen access equipment are to be reported to City of Greater Bendigo within 24 hours
  • A fee of $85, will be charged for the replacement of lost or stolen access equipment
  • You can nominate someone else to collect the access equipment for you
  • Anyone collecting access equipment must show ID and share their phone number
  • Arrangements to collect and return access equipment and general access instructions will be provided direct to the hirer by the managing committee contact

  • Customer Service Office, Galkangu, 195-229 Lyttleton Terrace, Bendigo
  • Customer Service Office, Heathcote
