The City of Greater Bendigo is encouraging residents to help shape the future of customer service and community engagement by providing feedback on the Customer Service Charter and Community Engagement Policy.
The Customer Service Charter outlines the City’s service standards and response timeframes, with a focus on resolving enquiries at the first point of contact wherever possible.
The Community Engagement Policy demonstrates the City’s commitment to meaningful two-way engagement by actively listening and communicating transparently throughout the decision-making process.
City of Greater Bendigo CEO Andrew Cooney said both documents had been updated to support clear communication, quality service and meaningful community participation.
“These are important documents that provide guidance to the community on what to expect from the City when communicating with us and providing feedback through community engagement projects,” Mr Cooney said.
“The Customer Service Charter outlines our commitment to delivering responsive, respectful and consistent customer service, while the Community Engagement Policy explains how we will involve the community in decisions that matter to them.
“The charter also includes response and resolution timeframes for many of our most common services and enquiries, giving residents a better understanding of what will happen next when they contact the City.
“We want these documents to be practical, easy to understand and reflective of community expectations.
“Hearing directly from our community helps us continue to improve how we serve and engage with residents, and I encourage everyone to take a few minutes to share their feedback.”
