Residents are encouraged to pick up a program and enjoy a range of events at the 2026 Greater Bendigo Seniors Festival, which takes place from October 4 to 11, 2026.
This year’s festival theme is ‘Connect. Create. Celebrate.’, with a packed program of events designed to bring people together, inspire creativity and celebrate community.
Copies of the Seniors Festival program are available at the City of Greater Bendigo’s Bendigo and Heathcote customer service and visitor centres, local libraries and neighbourhood houses, or viewed online on the City’s website.
This year’s main festival showcase event is the Dannielle DeAndrea concert, presented by the City.
Fresh from performing in The Songs of John Farnham: A Living Legend – The Celebration Concert at Rod Laver Arena, you can now experience Dannielle live as she takes audiences on a musical journey through pop, country, soul, bossa nova and jazz as our special guest artist as part of the annual Seniors Festival.
This not-to-be missed concert will take place at 11am on Monday October 5 at The Capital, 50 View Street, Bendigo. Tickets are only $10. Bookings are essential and can be made at The Capital box office or by visiting Bendigo Venues and Events: What's On
Other events featured in the program include workshops and information sessions, free film screenings, morning and afternoon teas, performances, exercise, come and try days, dancing, live music and more.
Mayor Cr Thomas Prince said with so many events on offer, residents are bound to find plenty to enjoy.
“This year’s program is stacked with a diverse range of either free or low-cost events, with something for everyone,” Cr Prince said.
“The annual festival is a fantastic opportunity for older adults to get involved and try something different, and I encourage them to grab a program, join in and enjoy the activities on offer.”
