Jobseekers encouraged to register for Jobs Expo at Bendigo Town Hall

Jobseekers are encouraged to register for the Bendigo Jobs Expo taking place at Bendigo Town Hall from 11am to 3pm on Wednesday September 6. 

Supported by the City of Greater Bendigo, Be.Bendigo and Workforce Australia Local Jobs Bendigo, the Bendigo Jobs Expo will bring together 30 exhibitors from the region who are actively recruiting staff including the City, Hazeldenes, Bunnings, Don KRC, Red Energy Arena, Mandalay Resources, Good Start Early Learning, Human Services Skills Organisation, Safescape/Bortana, True Foods and Sonora Foods.

City Acting Director Strategy and Growth Andrew Cooney said the Bendigo Jobs Expo was a fantastic way for jobseekers to connect with high profile employers in one place and discover a wide range of exciting job opportunities in the region.

“With over 300 immediate jobs available, companies at the expo will be actively recruiting new staff,” Mr Cooney said.

“Jobseekers will be able to explore employment opportunities from a variety of industries and sectors together with training schemes and available apprenticeships suitable for people keen to upskill. 

“Greater Bendigo is experiencing the same economic challenges as the rest of the country where we are seeing a high number of job vacancies in the region in many sectors.

“The City, in partnership with Be.Bendigo and Workforce Australia Local Jobs Bendigo, is delighted to support the Bendigo Jobs Expo as a one-stop shop for many central Victorian businesses to connect directly with jobseekers of all ages. 

“A thriving workforce strengthens the region’s economy and supports local businesses now and in the future.
