The City of Greater Bendigo, in partnership with Be.Bendigo, is proud to present the first Bendigo Climate Leaders Business Breakfast - Powering the Future which will take place from 7am to 8.30am on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at Omari, Bendigo Botanic Gardens, 27-32 Hamelin Street White Hills.
Part of the City’s Beat the Power Bills Business Program, this free breakfast event will focus on supporting local businesses to tackle rising energy costs, reduce emissions, and explore renewable energy solutions.
City of Greater Bendigo Coordinator Climate Action Ian McBurney said the event is a great opportunity for businesses to learn from their peers and take away practical strategies to cut their business costs.
“This breakfast is all about sharing ideas and real-life experiences to help businesses navigate the challenges of rising energy bills while becoming more sustainable,” Mr McBurney said.
“Attendees will hear from local businesses, including last year’s Climate Leader award winners, JL King & Co, that have made significant progress with energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. They will also take part in a Q&A panel discussion and leave with practical steps they can take to achieve real savings.
“The event will also feature an introduction to the Climate Leader category in the upcoming Be.Bendigo Business Excellence Awards, showcasing how businesses are making a positive impact through innovative climate-friendly practices.
“The Climate Leaders Breakfast event is an important part of the City’s efforts to support climate action across the business community.
“The City hopes that this will be the first of future events aimed at reducing emissions and building resilience in the face of climate challenges.
“We want to foster collaboration and inspire more businesses to join the movement toward a substantial energy savings, and emissions reduction and the Bendigo Climate Leaders Business Breakfast can play an important role in driving that change.”
The event is free to attend with breakfast provided, but places are limited.
