For all planning enquiries, we need to know the address of the property for your query and a general outline of what you want to do, or matter for discussion.
The following services are designed to provide preliminary planning advice only; each service can also help you understand the planning controls on your property and explain the planning application process.
Request a call back from a Duty Planner
Submit a planning enquiry online or call us to request a call-back. If the enquiry appears straightforward, the Duty Planner may email a response if you prefer.
A Duty Planner will research your enquiry and get back to you within 3 working days, Monday to Friday between 9am and 4.30pm.
Book a Duty Planner appointment
We provide a free Duty Planner appointment service from 10am β 4pm Monday to Thursday on the ground floor of our Bendigo office. In-person appointments are for a maximum of 15 minutes and will be the next available day, to allow time for the Planner to research your enquiry.
Find out if you need a planning permit
Whether youβre renovating your house, building a shed, starting a home business or another type of improvement to your property, try an online self assessment using the myLot planning tool. It can help you:
- determine if your project requires a planning permit
- understand why a permit is or isn't needed, with references to the relevant planning rules
- determine what documents you'll likely need to submit with your planning permit application
