The planner will undertake an initial assessment of the application to see if there is enough information to properly assess the proposal and make a decision.
If there is not enough information, you will receive a letter which includes details of what the planner requires to assess your application; and a lapse date that the information must be provided by.
The planner may also request changes to the use or development applied for, or changes to plans or documents that accompanied the application and you will be asked to amend the application.
What happens if I miss the lapse date?
If you do not provide us with all the requested information before the lapse date, the City has no choice but to lapse your application under the Planning and Environment Act 1987. If your application lapses, you will need to lodge a new application and pay the full fees again.
