Volunteering in Greater Bendigo

Volunteers are the heart and soul of our community. They make enormous contributions through giving their time, knowledge and skills. Without volunteers, many of the things that support our community’s wellbeing and vibrancy simply wouldn’t be possible.

Volunteering is a wonderful way to ‘give back’ to our community and can also be a great way to meet new people, enjoy new experiences and learn new things. Some people find that volunteering can also be a pathway into employment.

Whether you’re new to volunteering or have paused your volunteering commitments, now is a great time to start or return.

Where can I volunteer?

Reach out directly to a local group, club or not-for-profit organisation that interests you and see if they need some support. We’re sure they’ll be happy to hear from you!

You can also volunteer with the City of Greater Bendigo or the Bendigo Volunteer Resource Centre can point you in the right direction of local volunteering opportunities:
