Hospital precinct parking

The majority of streets in the hospital precinct have no restrictions. Park all day, but check the signs.

The City's Parking Officers patrol the precinct regularly to ensure safety and to improve parking availability near Bendigo Hospital for those who need it most.

The streets directly adjacent to the hospital have time restrictions which are intended to improve accessibility for patients and visitors. There is no fee for parking vehicles in the time restricted bays on the streets surrounding Bendigo Hospital. All time restrictions are indicated on the overhead signage and should be checked by motorists when parking their vehicle.

Where can I park all day near the hospital?

The majority of streets in the hospital precinct don't have time restrictions. This provides staff, volunteers, visitors, residents and other motorists requiring long term parking with the option to park all day within a short walk of Bendigo Hospital.

Bendigo Hospital also has two large off street car parks:

  • Underground accessible via Drought Street and Mercy Street
  • Multi Storey Car Park accessible via Arnold Street with a pedestrian bridge connection to the main hospital campus

I live near the hospital, can I get a parking permit?

The City encourages residents who live around the hospital and don't have off-street parking to apply for a parking permit. These permits exempt residents from parking time restrictions but do not provide exclusive parking access. For further information visit our residential parking permit page.
