During the Fire Danger Period
A council permit is not required during the declared Fire Danger Period, instead you must lodge an application with Fire Permits Victoria. You can check the Greater Bendigo Fire Danger period on the CFA website.
Outside the Fire Danger Period
Apply for a permit for an open air burn outside the fire danger period. Permits are free of charge.
Please allow 5 business days (not inclusive of the date of application) for your permit application to be reviewed.
The burn cannot commence until the approved permit has been issued.
